Mayor Cory Box joins the Jenks America Museum & Historical Society at the Jenks library to give his views on the future of the City.
Mayor Box was elected to the Jenks City Council in April of 2017 and elected Mayor in 2021. He was relelected to another four year term this past April. He has great onsite to the government of Jenks and his talk will be very informative.

Vic Vreeland, a fourth generation Jenks Trojan will shere stories and times of early Jenks he has learned from his family. Vic will also share stories of Jenks' growth during his tenure on the City Council.

Jenks High School graduat, Rev. John Green, JHS ‘67, will give us the hist of the Muskogee Freedman Community, which was located at 91st and Harvard and stretched to 81st and to Sheridan. John attended Kindergarden at Rentie Grove School and now pastors the relocated Rentie Grove Church which is over 100 years old.

Elly Stewart Davis, Objects Coservator for Gilgrease Museum will share a behind the scene look at what a museum conservator soes.

Join us at the Jenks Library for an interviewe wih three lifelong Jenks residents. Creekmore, Larry Wasson, and J.D. Newland. These pioneers all were born in the 1930s and have lived in Jenks for their entire lives.
They will be asked to relate what it was like in Jenks when they were growing up and through the 1960s. Each one has compeling stories about Jenks and its families.
They are all very sharp and interesting people. You will be given a chance to ask questions and hear thier answers,

Join us at the Jenks Library for a presentation on the founding of the City of Jenks. Dr. Eric Fox will talk about the first days of Jenks from Muskogee Nation to incorporation and the origin of the name Jenks.
Eric Fox has been a career public educator in Oklahoma for over three decades. He started as a teacher and coach in his hometown of Moore, OK where both sides of his family were some of the first to settle the Moore-Norman area after the Land Run of 1889. He moved to Tulsa and began teaching and coaching in 1993 where he thought a variety of social studies classes including Oklaroma history and Advanced Placement United States History.
He was a finalist for Oklahoma Teacher of the Year and later moved to an administrative position
