Vic Vreeland, a fourth generation Jenks Trojan, will share stories and experiences from early Jenks that he has learned through his family. He will also discuss the historical events and growth of Jenks during his time on the City Council, highlighting important moments in our local history.
This engaging talk will be part of the Jenks community events and will be live-streamed on the Jenks America Museum Facebook page.

As part of our local history discussions, Jenks High School graduate Rev. John Green, JHS ‘67, will share insights on the historical events of the Muskogee Freedman Community, which was located at 91st and Harvard and extended to 81st and Sheridan. John attended Kindergarten at Rentie Grove School and now pastors the relocated Rentie Grove Church, a landmark that is over 100 years old.

Elly Stewart Davis, Objects Conservator for Gilgrease Museum, will provide the Jenks community with a behind-the-scenes look at what a museum conservator does. This insightful discussion will be part of our ongoing local history discussions, highlighting the importance of preserving our historical events. Join us on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Jenks Library at 10:30 AM.
