The Jenks America Museum Museum is proud to announce it's participation along with the City of Jenks and other organizations in the nation wide celebration of the United States 250th Anniversary in 2026, marking the Semiquincentennial of American Independance.
The museum invites our community to join a journey of reflection, education and community conversation, exploring our shared past, celebrating contributions and envisioning the future.

Jenks America Museum to Commemorate U.S. 250th Anniversary: JENKS, OK – January 15, 2026
The Jenks America Museum and Historical Society is proud to announce its participation, along with the City of Jenks and other organizations, in the nationwide celebration of the United States' 250th Anniversary in 2026, marking the Semiquincentennial of American Independence. The museum invites our community to join a journey of reflection, education, and community conversation, exploring our shared past, celebrating contributions, and envisioning the future.
Our Role in America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration
The Jenks America Museum will serve as a vital hub for local engagement, offering:
- U.S. History: Providing historic online references and different perspectives on America's complex history, honoring the stories of all people who built this nation.
- Community Conversations and Events: Providing online resources for small forums and discussions regarding U.S. History, and helping support larger historic events.
- Educational Initiatives: Providing historical America 250 online resources to connect with students and families, encouraging them to better understand their American heritage.
- Exhibits & Artifacts: Showcasing online and micro museum historical documents, art, and artifacts that illuminate key moments from the nation's founding to today.
- Website Resources: Interesting historic U.S. documents, videos, and planning guidelines for 250th anniversary events.
